In my life there are many things that are important to me but in my bag I have the items that are the most important to me. These items are a Christmas present, Fufu my bunny, my favorite red wagon, a beautiful square diamond necklace, and a Chinese lion. Now let me tell you why these things are important to me.
On Christmas when I was eight my dad, my brother and I all took a short trip to my grandma Gertrud's house. When we arrived my grandma had a glut of presents left to open. My grandma was weak and couldn't open her presents all on her own. I helped my grandma open her presents, she was ecstatic. We had company of our own so we headed back home. The next day we got news that she had died in her sleep, it was devastating. I remember her by the present because that was the last thing I ever did with her.
Fufu is my blanket bunny that I have had since I was four. When my neighbors next door moved in they met our family. Paula the lady really admired me so she got me fufu, I held onto fufu everywhere I went until I was about six. I still have fufu today although she is a little tawdry looking. To me this symbolizes neighbor's friends and love because of the thought that the lady next door loved me.
My family has an awesome tradition of going to the pumpkin patch every year to pick out pumpkins, this tradition started when I was one. My family took a long journey to the with a big red wagon. Every year since then we go to the pumpkin patch with our big red wagon to pick out pumpkins. I have the red wagon now and we still use it even though all of its parts aren't still intact with it. I think that this is important because it shows how a tradition carries on.
At age nine my neighbor Paula gave me a necklace with a square diamond in it. I keep this necklace in a very safe place because it had been passed down to all the girls in Paula's family for a long time. The fact that she gave it to me was very important because it shows me that she trusts me enough to give me such an important piece of her family. Every time I look at the necklace I think of trust and the way Paula trusted me.
My best friend is is partly Chinese and that makes me understand a little bit of Chinese culture. Part of their culture is having an animal represent the year you were born. There are some very specific animals that represent the years and there are also not many so all the animals go through a cycle. My dad and I were both born on the same animal, the tiger. My mom often says that my dad and I are two pees in a pod and I think that relates to the animal we were born on. This is important to me because it shows my relationship with Caitlyn and how my dad and I have a relation.
